yes--I used to live somewhere like that-- and I've seen grown men cry, waiting for a bus in winter. Here it seldom gets that cold, although it did last year for a time. If I was shoveling snow, I would wear something warm. If I was just walking outside,with a light snow, I'd try to wear some sort of sandal. But that's me. And around the house, it's a sad winter when I have to start wearing socks.
I've heard of people wearing mocassins and stuffing them with
leaves. I think a lot of people who wear "crocs" also wear them barefoot.
Sorry to talk about such stuff, when you are fall fasting.
No doubt I will be into the hot mugs, and baths soon enough.
