Lysine not working for you, does not mean lysine does not work at all.

I used to take Red Marine Algae daily and still would have genital outbreaks every month, albeit less severely. I would up my dosage around my menses, which was the only time I got an outbreak.

I started taking lysine about 5 days before my usual outbreak and I had never ever had an outbreak again while I was taking it. I decided to take a 3-month hiatus from it to see if I would still get the monthly outbreaks and I wasn't getting any.

Then close to the end of that hiatus, going through all kinds of stress, suddenly a cold sore. I immediately went back on the lysine and I have not had another outbreak since then.

Every person's body is not the same; we must individually find out what will work for us. Lysine worked for me, so I can respectfully disagree that it does indeed work.
