Has anyone come across any research papers of any kind that states how fast the virus returns to its "home" (dormant state) after the outbreak? Is it right after the cold sore? Is the virus safely in it's home immediately after the outbreak even while your cold sore is healing?
This is going to vary since there are different factor that cause the virus to become active in the first place. For example immune suppression, which can be long lasting, or arginine that can trigger a more acute outbreak.
Also does anyone know how to bring the virus out of it's dormant state and keep it out of its dormant state? Any herbs or something like that that can be continuously taken? Triggers?
The easiest trigger to use if you want to induce an outbreak would be the amino acid arginine. This is why lysine is used to treat herpes outbreaks. Lysine antagonizes the arginine.
