Re: Fruits & Candida: When and What to introduce?

Jorge,

You are right there with me. I am realizing that I cannot sustain my weight and energy level with vegetables and proteins alone. I know that I need some carbs, though healthy carbs that do not feed candida.

According to my food safe allergy test, I should avoid eggs entirely, and I have a very strong reaction to gliadins (protein portion of glutens). The latter test result sort of limits the grains that I can consume. I know grits are probably not good, but I had them one day with sardines and did not react badly to them. I may try cream of buckwheat and see if I can tolerate that.

I will try these changes first as you suggested before introducing fruits. Will see how my body responds. I know Dr. Crook suggests that you can introduce specific fruits at certain points, but I do believe I need to wait until more healing has occurred and the Nizoral and Nystatin have decreased the strength of the yeast.

Thanks for the feedback, and I hope you are continuing to move forward on your healing journey.

Regards,
Carolyn
