Re: Romans 8:1-4
Was Jesus a man? Did Adam's sin bring condemnation on Him who never sinned Himself? yes, yes
"In other words, as long as we were alive, the law had a death sentence hanging over our heads. Now that the law sees that we are dead, it's off our backs. The law is still there, but it's satisfied because we claim the death Of Jesus to be our own death."
I agree with that!
Romans 7:4-6
Likewise, my brothers, you also have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who has been raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit for God. 5For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death. 6But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.
So, it's saying here, we couldn't even bear fruit at all to God, we could only bear fruit for death, until we died to the law, and belonged to Christ. And again it says we were aroused by the law, until we were released from it. Now we serve Christ, and not the old way of the written code.
It is in walking by the Spirit, abiding in Christ, that we are perfected, not by walking by the law.
Us walking by the law, produces fruits of the flesh. Us walking by the spirit, will produce fruits of the spirit.
