Please help me...Mirena and liver issues and cysts. I need to know if anyone else has had severe right flank pain and cysts on ovaries with this and what happened when it was taken out

Hi, I'm a 35 year old female and have had the mirena for 2 and 1/2 years now. I have severe cysts that form on my ovaries every other month or so and cause severe back pain. I also have elevated AST or ALT in my liver and liver issues. I NEVER HAD THESE PROBLEMS BEFORE MIRENA. I am strongly considering getting this thing taken out but my obgyn keeps telling me that the progestin in it should be helping my cysts and probably didn't cause them and the liver issue is completely separate. Please help, I have type two diabetes and I'm in pain all the time, also have increased sensitivity to light and severe headache and migraine. Please tell me if you suffer the same things and after taking mirena out did it get better/or worse? I'm really scared! Thanks! Tweet
