Rinsing produce!!

A couple of years ago I remember watching Alton Brown on Food network washing his bulk salad greens in the washing machine. Do any of you think this is a good idea to rinse our produce used for juicing a couple of times in our washing machine? I think this will save me a lot of time if all I have to do is dump my organic produce in there while attending to other chores.
