You could try to get up at 5.30 or 6 that helps me, at that time I should not stay in bed.. It is easy to try and who knows may be you end up going to bed at 10.30 or so.
Otherwise do what makes you happy if you don't have any problems.
The reason you feel ok at 9 is that you wake up in an active cycle, I think pitta, may be invicible knows what it is called. It would be interesting to see how you feel at either 7 or 8 am, I bet you would feel sluggish too.
