Re: Flushie comrades!
Re: eating late at night. I've never understood what's so bad about this. People often raise their eyebrows when I say I have dinner at about 9 or 9:30. That's when I'm going to bed at about 12 am. But I've consistently found that if I eat too far away from bedtime, I just don't sleep. One day I was exhausted, and had had about 2-3 hours of sleep the night before. I was so tired that I didn't bother to make supper because at around 9 or 10 I felt like sleeping soon. So I want to bed at about 11:30 and exausted as I was, would not sleep. I was ALMOST there, exhausted and drifting off, but would never go under. I knew what I had to do but kept trying to sleep. Finally, at 2 am I said "oh all right.." and I made a bowl of vegetable soup and gulped it down, lay back down and felt like I'd just been put out with opiates or something.
What I don't like is that I've been eating in the middle of the night forEVER! I used to get up in my 20's and eat like an ENTIRE apple pie in the middle of the night. Get up at 2 am and eat a huge piece. Get up at 4 am and eat a huge piece, get up at 5:30 and eat a huge piece. And at 8 am, my room mate would be like "where's the pie????" I go through times where I don't get up and eat for weeks, but others where I get up and eat. At least it's yogurt or hummus now instead of cookies, but I still find it odd.
