Re: Regarding 65 Day Cleanse
While the thining hair thing is not unheard of when fasting it is not common at all. in the 9 +/- years I've been around this forum on and of I've probably only heard of maybe a handful in the thousands of posters that have passed this way and most that experience any hair thining report that they do get it back.
We have been so hammered over the head with this protein myth by the meat and dairy industry that it still persists even into the alternative lifestyle health forums. Then 1st of all these fasts even the long ones are temporary and relatively short in the larger scope of things. Not having proteins for these short periods is very unlikely to cause any issues. Do some research on fasting to learn how the mechanics of the system respond when a body is fasting and goes into ketosis. Diferent rules and mechanics apply.
Then there is the issue of people thinking that they are going to get the same effect and depth of cleansing from a series of short fasts vs the longer fasts. Well it just tain't gonna happen. There is a sequence of events that take place in fasting. To make it short it takes the system 3 +/- days just to empty itself it takes 7 to 8 days to adapt to fasting and after that is when actual cleansing is just begining so even in a "minimal" 10 day MC you are barely scratching the surface. It takes 2 weeks +/- for the causative agents to be flushed out of the system and after that is when the "real" cleansing at the cellular level begins and the system starts scouring the body for dead or damaged tissue. In short to effect any real cleansing/healing I would say 21 days is the minimum. While 6-8 days is better than nothing, don't expect much. Read the "Detox Stages" in the FAQs
