Re: Try to keep your eyes open, this is a looooooong post.....
Sorry for the longish reply ;-)
Wow. Thank you for your wonderfully informative post (I read every single word). You are an angel! I shall download some of those audio pieces & transfer them to my iPod, so I can have a listen as I'm exercising. I venture out in the back garden every day as I like to get some fresh air & I also look after/feed a stray, outdoors cat (I adore cats & have 5 others). We have had quite a fair bit of sunshine lately, which is a nice change for the UK. I love to slather a load of coconut oil on before I head out the back. I have a greenhouse out there too which I could/should be taking advantage of.
I adore my grandparents (am closer to my nan than I am to my mum) & used to phone them at least 3 times a week. I am so determined to get better as I would love to go & visit them (they live about 100 miles away). I catch up with my mum & sisters via email (less so my sister, as she is a very negative/self-absorbed person & constantly slags off/bitches about other people). The person I live with is my best friend. We've known each other 12 years now & went out for about 8 of those. I do most of my shopping online, but if there is anything I need down town, he will happily go out & get it for me.
I am really not able to go to any kind of doctor. Is there any chance of me getting well without one? I know I have it in me & don't mind if it takes 6 months, a year, or even longer to start feeling better. I've read a few positive testimonials in this forum about hypothyroidism recovery (on Iodine, diet & supps alone), which have given me a glimmer of hope. I've also read many other inspiring stories (on here & on Earth Clinic). I'm currently taking 100mg of Lugol's, 400mcg of Now brand selenium, 1 teaspoon of magnesium citrate in juice, 2,500mg of vitamin C, & 1 tablespoon of coconut oil per day (will add the cod liver oil to my routine when it arrives in a few days' time). It's only been 3 and a bit weeks so I'm not expecting any significant changes just yet. I salt load nearly every day, do
Epsom Salt baths once a week (with dry skin brushing), & drink lots of water. Will further clean up my diet & continue the exercising.
Funny you should mention TV being full of bad news as I refuse to watch any news channels now lol. It's all doom & gloom & as TV can affect your mood, I'm selective about what I watch nowadays. My friend, on the other hand, has Sky News on constantly (tut, tut). I try to stay as positive & upbeat as I can, & I believe in The Secret. I even own a copy of Ask & It Is Given (although I haven't read it for a while now). I'm self-employed & work from home. I love my job & have the added luxury of being able to set my own hours. So, on the whole, everything is good, besides my health (that's the missing jigsaw piece).
Thank you again for your truly wonderful post, & thank you for taking the time to read this.
Have a lovely day!
L
PS Today I have very stinky underarm sweat which I welcome, as it means the
Iodine is working.
