Re: Three Day Post Fast/Refeeding Summary (20 Day Water Fast)
"I suppose the more of us who fast and document our results, the more we can see where there may be variances and additional learnings on this path. Many things are tried and true, but we also, each one of us has a unique physical make-up."
This is an excellent point. I am hoping to reach completion again and keep wondering how different it will be from the first time. I'd really enjoy reading the accounts of the many Shelton patients (and any others) who reached completion to encounter and learn about the many variations of the experience.
In my particular case, i am curious if perhaps i had run low in epa/dha and that's why my hunger wasn't truly satisfied until i ate the salmon. If this is the case, how much differently would my genuine hunger have behaved had i been low on some other nutrient instead, one that would have been satisfied with grapefruit juice.
"But back to fasting & refeeding. Indeed, exciting times. Everything tastes excruciatingly good to me..."
It's amazing and beautiful how our taste for healthful foods becomes so sensationally heightened.
"I didn't realize it but I was moaning while sampling a salad at the deli counter in my food co-op the other day. A guy behind me in line laughed and said "I want whatever she's having!" hahaa. It was funny."
haha, that's perfect :).
"The past couple of days I've been feeling really GOOD and clear, focused. My mental clarity is off the charts, not to mention my emotional patience factor. I believe we reap the benefits of a completed water fast for days, weeks maybe months aftewards if we keep up with our goals/lifestyle changes."
I completely agree and have shared with thankfulness in this bounty.
