*** Thank you Mighty Sun ***
Hey Mighty,
We are speaking the same language. I know exactly what you mean & I appreciate you sharing your experience with fasting to completion. I hadn't thought about this. As Braindamage mentions, listening to the body is key. I realize now I was also listening to my body. It was hungry and yes I have been plagued with that overwhelming sense of eating highly nutritious foods and if I don't the hunger intensifies. I suppose the more of us who fast and document our results, the more we can see where there may be variances and additional learnings on this path. Many things are tried and true, but we also, each one of us has a unique physical make-up. I was an athletic child and have been active most of my adult life...mesomorph muscle frame although you wouldn't know that looking at me unless I gain 5 or 10
lbs. I think I have a pretty hardy system and I guess we have to consider this as well. Now I'm not as active, but I do walk, swim....will take up yoga.
But back to fasting & refeeding. Indeed, exciting times.
Everything tastes excruciatingly good to me...I didn't realize it but I was moaning while sampling a salad at the deli counter in my food co-op the other day. A guy behind me in line laughed and said "I want whatever she's having!" hahaa. It was funny.
The past couple of days I've been feeling really GOOD and clear, focused. My mental clarity is off the charts, not to mention my emotional patience factor. I believe we reap the benefits of a completed
Water Fast for days, weeks maybe months aftewards if we keep up with our goals/lifestyle changes.
Thanks for sharing your experience and for your advice.
