Re: Regarding soy - Oy!

To Dquixote1217, regarding soy. Wow, I never see a mention of soy anywhere, without a small army of alarmists quoting from websites about the "soy conspiracy".

Must say, that when I read mainstream books from respected doctors and scientists, there is a good, balanced discussion of the pros and cons of soy...with the clear advantage on the positive side.

I started using it because of testimonials from other prostate cancer victims. And it worked for me, extraordinarily well. I don't take soy powder, but I make a breakfast shake every morning with LOTS of tofu, and soy milk. Frankly, it has turned me from a "mild-mannered reporter" into, well, not-quite-Superman.

Might I ask, if soy is so bad, why the countries which consume the most of it have virtually zero prostate and breast cancer...and, in Japanese, at least, not even a word for menopause? And how come they live longer, and healthier, lives than anyone else on the planet?

Seems a strange contradiction, at the very least.
