I'm from the US. I'm sad to say our complaints fall on deaf ears. Doctors refuse to believe the Mirena is causing all these problems and therefore won't report them to the FDA (Food and Drug Association which oversees approval of meds and devices) The drug reps from the Mirena company tell the doctors there are no side effects and the doctors believe them. Now the evil device has been approved to treat excess bleeding in older women, so they have a huge new market. The Mirena is in the top 100 of most drugs sold. It should be taken off the market. Try to warn as many women as you can about the terrible side effects. I hope and pray someday a class action suit is successful. I'm very saddened and disturbed by all the women who have been damaged. It's obvious there's a huge strategy to sell this awful device to foreign countries. The greed of the big drug companies is disgusting. It's unbelievable that they prefer profits to women's health. I appreciate your attempt to report your side effects to your doctor. By the way, there have been a lot of wonderful women from Australia who have posted here. I wish the best for you.
