Actually lab tests for parasites at your doctor are not reliable. To see a worm or eggs they have to be in the sample of stool. They do not come out with every bowel movement. Most labs miss them even if they are in there. Even if they DO detect parasites, they will give you prescriptions drugs for it, which may or may not even work. I think the best thing to do is some kind of a parasite cleanse a couple times a year. Much cheaper and easier on your body and your wallet. Most people DO have parasites.

There are a few labs that are good at detecting parasites. Great Smokies Diagnostic Labs are reported to do a good job. I have no personal experience with this place, just repeating what I have read on the forums here.
