I have pursued the arguments for "supplements" and after careful consideration still disagree completely.
Concerning for example vitamin D: The only cases of Rickets found on any meaningful scale was that of (catholic) nuns in monasteries who covered their entire bodies for an entire lifetime with only the hands and a small part of the face ever exposed to very indirect sunlight.. and yet many of them had more than adequate activated vitamin D.
The tragic story of the (Fritzl) family held captive for a lifetime in Austria, where one girl developed rickets after more than 20 years, further underlines just how little we need and how effectively the body can use a very little bit of any type of light to activate this vitamin.
I expect to reach a very healthy very old age and will do so without ANY form of "supplement".
