The difference between humans and animals is that humans can choose NOT to cave in to their instincts. I don't think animals can decide to forego for the most part, although my dog refused to ever breed again after her one and only litter of 10. There is big difference between "can't get it" and "don't want to" ........

Then why are so many species of animal highly selective about their mates and some species are very monogomous?
