re: Post Fast Diet
"So, a good protocol of re-feeding after the fast is 1 day of juice(or watermelon/fruit) for every 4 days of water fasting. I need to write that down."
I'm not saying that everybody agrees on this, but in the many uncompleted fasts i have undergone, it has worked well for me and as i am easing out of a fast it really feels like the right amount of time i have needed to adjust before moving into anything more digestively challenging. When i have attempted to ease out more quickly, i have felt bogged down, a clear sign to me that the body was not ready yet. It's 4 days of juice for every day of water only, then 4 days of fruits/vegetables for every day of water+juice.
"Sounds like you have a good plan. I might do something similar except I don't plan to eat any meat/dairy as that tends to make my face break out."
It's hard to go wrong with a high percentage of fresh, mostly raw vegetables and fruits as the backbone of any nutritional program.
"I was just going to eat healthy but I have lumpy painful breasts that hurt and I'm scared to go to the doctor to find out if they are cancerous yet and get put on tons of medication. So, I'm doing a serious detox diet of fasting for a month. Then eating mostly raw fruits and vegetables until my excess weight comes off afterwards, then fasting again after that. .....
Then I'll go to the doctor and get a checkup."
I am sorry to hear about this. Sounds like a very good plan. You might google "budwig protocol" and "gerson therapy" for additional holistic protocols with excellent track records. I'm looking forward to being digestively ready to get my budwig started... part of why i was hoping to reach completion before the 30 days.
"I read that benign tumors can go away with fasting but after you are a normal weight, not when you are overweight."
This sounds fishy to me. I believe tumors can be autolyzed whether you are of normal weight or not. The body in ketosis burns primarily fat but also seeks the worst kind of protein tissue it can burn simultaneously for the small amount of protein conversion to glucose that is required for certain functions.
