It probably will. You might not have been on it long enough to start displacing the baddies of detox. For myself, back in the day before this forum, I learned that iodine was necessary to cure my fibrocystic breast disease. When I was finally able to get my hands on some, I started on it confidently. Nobody mentioned detox at all. For me, the iodine had to get to a certain level in my body before the head-splitting headaches and metallic taste started. There wasn't anybody to tell me I wasn't being poisoned, and so I stopped. Without this forum, there was nobody to tell me that along with the companion nutrients, oil-pulling could help me spit out the toxic waste and stop the headache, or that my husband could spit out the bromine stench vileness when he hit a bad patch, and sweat it out as well. (In one memorable incident, he almost vomited from the disgusting fumes trapped in the oil.)

No way to know for sure how you will experience your detox. But you've probably just had a good indication. Good to know that pulsing -- taking days off -- helps, that there is a tomorrow when you'll feel better, and that the worse you feel, the more you need iodine.
