Like I said, bacteria from Manufactured probiotics and cultured food do not establish in the GI tract.
I totally disagree. SOME, but not all, of the beneficial bacteria in the intestines have been shown to be transient. The bacteria can catch in various areas of the intestines such as the diverticuli, and they are constantly dividing. So even though some of this bacteria is eliminated in the stool there is still going to be bacteria left behind still dividing. If this were not the case then a person who fasts for a week or a month would have an intestine completely devoid of any beneficial bacteria suppressing their immune system, causing constipation, leading to Candida overgrowth, etc. Of course this is not the case because some beneficial bacteria ALWAYS remains in the intestines. Even antibiotic therapy does not wipe out every last trace of the beneficial bacteria. They only reduce the numbers.
This is also why I prefer probiotics as a jump start after antibiotic therapy, but prefer prebiotics for the long term to feed the surviving bacteria and the newly implanted bacteria.
