Re: Any patients of Dr. Shankland here?
My last surgery was done locally. I was given nothing post op, other than a pat on the back. It's probably just as well though, as I was so near death then that I probably couldn't have tolerated anything anyway.
I haven't done much else for cavitations. I've piddled with a few things, magnetic pulsers, Far Infar Red, but never with any results.
Paying attention to mold has been big for me. The discovery of Mastocytosis was a biggy too (and getting proper medication for that, i.e. antihistamines). I suspect there is "something" else out there lurking though.
It might be the newly discovered XMRV retrovirus? This is implicated in CFS, aquired autism, and atypical MS. I would disbelieve it, as I saw the coming and going of EBV, CMV, Lyme, and HHV6A (not to get into an aurgument with the supporters of these things), but many high powered people are lining up behind XMRV, and it has a lot of explanatory power from what I have seen. As one researcher put it, I used to bury my HIV patients (another disease causing retrovirus). Now, I watch them bodybuild and play basketball. I hope to do the same for my
Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome patients. I hope so too. :)
Best,
Elsworth
