Hi Joy! I've never had the Vert jam up.

Once or twice I used the reverse mechanism when juicing carrots. Reversed a sec, then forward again, no problem.

Apples are a BREEZE. Once I didn't cut mine quite small enough, and I had to pull the piece out of the shoot w/ a fork and cut it a little smaller. But that can of course happen with any juicer.

I wish my Vert had a handle, but that's only b/c i have to store it on top of my fridge (small kitchen). However I wouldn't buy the Huron for the handle alone. Just a personal thing... but I feel more secure buying from Omega.
