I tend to agree...

1. the gut from end to end must be healed properly, if it is damaged (most people's guts are damaged to one degree or another) before it can host colonies... however, it is possible to heal the gut; as long as you stay away from too much alcohol, caffeine, sugar, pharmaceuticals, etc.

2. this is VERY difficult (unless one is fully self sustaining and organic; even then environmental pollution invades), and stays away from too much alcohol, caffeine, sugar, pharmaceuticals, etc.) to do today - the individual must eat properly in order for the "probiotics" to survive, thrive and colonize.

There are other factors as well... they are all lifestyle choices.

The reason they do not colonize well in humans today has more to do with the polluted environment we live in... and the chemically polluted bodies we have... much of that internal pollution being overindulgences (bad habits), junk foods and pharmaceutical/OTC use.

One who does take probiotics for a period of time will see the mucosa heal as the probiotics aid in healing...

One huge concern I have is the current bioengineering of bacteria. Try to choose a non-GMO product.

There WILL be more Genetically-Modified-Organisms bacteria, yeast (they use Genetically-Modified-Organisms yeasts for beer and wine fermentations) and fungal contaminations in the future (has already occurred)... just as their has been Genetically-Modified-Organisms crop contaminations...

These idiots do not understand we assimilate this DNA into ourselves... so in essence, we are now genetically modified, whether we like it or not... how much? Who knows? Puts a new spin on it all, eh?

grz-
