You act like medicine and research is the final say. Medicine and research are wrong so often that listening to the latest study is totally pointless because 9 times out of 10 it will be retracted within a few years and they'll be feeding you some other garbage.
Honestly, a lot more people have lost weight conventional ways and gained it all back than through fasting. How many people have cut their calories and watched their carbs and exercised regularly and lost 60 lbs and gained every single pound back? The truth is that all of these methods work and people need to stop telling other people what they should and should not do and people need to listen to their own bodies. If your body tells you that it needs a rest from solid food, then you should give it a rest. Popular thought doesn't equate correctness.
Even when people fix their diets there are so many things and so many different recommendations it's ridiculous and it's confusing. Fasting isn't confusing. Theres really nothing edible on this planet that doesn't come with some processing or pesticides or exposure to poluted air or bad soil thats supposed to be not good for you and cause cancer and all of that other crap. I hate when people tell other people what to do with their bodies. Fasting is natural. Our bodies know what to do when we don't eat. If we weren't meant to fast we wouldn't be able to.
