I disagree with pretty much everything you claim in your retort. Here's a couple reasons why you are wrong:
Fasting is natural in the sense that evolutionarily, when our ancestors had to hibernate for winter, adipose tissue provided energy for sustenance. Acute fasting sets off gluconeogenesis. You should know this considering you advocate a method of weight loss that may influence, and misinform, many readers.
You also seem to neglect the cohort of people with diabetes who desire weight loss. Abrupt discontinuation of food in one with diabetes causes many complications such as diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperkalemia, and potential hypoglycemic episodes consisting of severe autonomic instability.
Your assertion that "nothing edible on this planet" is pure of synthetic products is groundless.
Medical research conducted at accredited universities and institutions is actually done so meticulously that the results yielded tend to be good data. It is not "garbage" as you claim
People attempting to fast for days on end many times become severely dehydrated which leads to serious electrolyte imbalances and which requires steady IV fluid resuscitation in the hospital.
