As far as trying to figure out if it's mold or not there is a somewhat simple way to do this. Live somewhere for about a weekthat you are certain does not have mold. Could be a hotel/motel, a friends house, a relative's house, etc.

If, during that time your symptoms improve, then it's very possible that it's related to something in your house. Specifically look for issues regarding the lungs and breathing improving during that time.
