Re: Humans are 'aliens from outer space'

Science doesn't know how life was begun, or the origins of the universe, and has never claimed to. Although there are many theories, they remain theories without any proof. Scientists simply don't know how life began, or the origins of the universe, at this point in time, and happily admit this.

Religion claims to know the origin of life and the universe, that 'god' or whatever supernatural being fits the religious belief, created the universe and everything in it. There is no proof for this claim either, it relies on faith and belief.

Scientists are not obligated to try and disprove creationism, they are not the ones making the claim, the burden of proof is on religion to prove its claim. Thus far religion has failed to do this.

Bringing in the argument for or against alternative medicine is pointless. Being a scientist does not exclude one from having an interest in, or using, alternative medical practices, just as being a religious person doesn't exclude one from being interested in, or following mainstream medicine.
