Despite that nutritionally brazil nut is very hard to beat, incl. the best amino acid composition for human being and super generous amounts glutathione.
My point is your recipee fir the test could include almost any food or supplement. But here is no need to blame on one supplement. As far as milk chocolate and pizza clogging up your system almost every at leat a bit health-conscious person knows that.
It doesn't mean your experience isn't valid. It means it is incorrect to generalize aboput ascorbic acid. I ate a lot of ascorbic acid both, from oranges (up to 16 a day) natural source and ascorbic acid (mineral asciorbates and sodium ascorbate) up to 16 grams a day. And I tell you honestly- I thrive on it! The only thing it did for me (and for a few people I know) is to give a kick in the **** to all cold viruses and alike. And no acne! or anything like that! And have no intentions to lie.
