Saving Face

This is one of the most important highlights to this thread and it is being swept under (ignored).

Points like these really must be dealt with.

If god is perfect and all knowing, then why did he need to update his message? Also is Jesus God and if so we did he send himself to correct things. The first message should have been perfect. Being omniscient he would have prior knowledge to any new tendencies, therefore it would have been dealt with out of the gate. This clearly demonstrates that this is not of a god, but either a man or some other lesser being.

When trapped in a cult mindset, one has to ignore important realizations like this. They stimulate both fear and pride.
The fear aspect is obvious. As far as pride goes, it is hard to admit you have been duped, so it is easier to ignore these blaring signals to save face.
