And so maybe God takes the baby and raises it in heaven instead.
You look at everything from an earthly perspective. God is not confined to this earth.
I wouldn't mind being a child raised in heaven, where you can do things there you could never do here without being harmed:
Isaiah 11:6
The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat,
the calf and the lion and the yearling† together;
and a little child will lead them.The infant will play near the hole of the cobra,
and the young child put his hand into the viper's nest.
9They will neither harm nor destroy
at all on my holy mountain,
for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD
as the waters cover the sea.
