 I've had the standard blood work by my physician but nothing's come back as unusual.

If there is an active infection then there should be an elevation of white blood cell counts.

 

My doctor has actually given me a couple blood tests this last year due to me constantly nagging her. I've looked into hyperparathyroidism and hypercalcemia. I thought I read that there wasn't a cure for hyperparathyroidism which wasn't good news.

They normally do surgery to remove part of the parathyroids.  Although the problem can often be corrected through vitamin D supplementation.  Supporting the liver and adrenals can also help since these organs are required for the conversion of vitamin D to its active form.
