Slippery Elm for Bowel Disorders
Sometimes we put up with the stupidest things, as Dr. Christopher put it, we are being the "Lazy Goose". I have finally had enough of this suffering and would like some advice.
Can you tell me (as a student of SNH) where in the collection of books/audio/videos I can find the Slippery Elm protocol for intestinal disorders? I know I've heard and/or read it before somewhere, but I can't recall where. This is basically the gruel, I believe.
What I can't recall is if this is a complete fast, or taken alongside foods. Also, any suggestions or recommendations? Can the slippery elm be taken in capsules with water (this would be easier during the day at work - my diet already prompts questions frequently, lol)?
Are there other protocols you would recommend to heal severe colon issues? In short, I have suffered from migraines for over a decade, though diet has almost completely reduced them to nil. The issue is anytime I stray, I end up suffering, which just means I have yet to treat the cause fully.
I suspect some sort of distension or narrowing in the transverse colon, near where it meets the descending. I get this odd tingling once in a while, and the problem has gotten worse now that I've been mostly on water with occasional food due to the flu. I suspect this is because the body is actually happy until more food comes and irritates it.
The Lower Bowel or Quick Colon (if really bad, or if a migrane has started and I want it to leave soon) will generally clear the impaction.
Needless to say this takes its toll on my happiness at the worst possible times. I know that I don't have to live with it, so any advice is greatly appreciated!
