Re: I am experimenting with do-it-yourself Allergy/Asthma immunizations! Instead of shots, I'm placing allergen(s) under my tongue! Wish me luck!
Today will be a grass SLIT experiment.... about seven times grass extract under the tongue, and see if I get the same strong reactions that I did the first time I tried it.
I've just finished my third, of seven, Grass-SLIT Immunization experiment for today. Four more to go.
I am reacting much milder to the Grass-Slit treatment than I did before! The first time I tried it I had chest pains and some breathing problems. The only reactions today are some slight nausea and some slight woozyness. What does that mean? Of course I am grasping at straws, hoping that this at-home Grass-SLIT protocol cures my very sensitive allergy problem. Is it possible? Only time will tell. In the meantime, I find the milder reaction, to one of my major allergens, very incouraging!
I also find it very interesting that I did not have any breathing problems last night?! What does that mean? That was NOT the reaction that I expected. Does that mean that this stupid at-home, SLIT Immunization under my tongue could possibly be doing something good? After all, our medical industry has found this technique to actually improve the Allergic sensitivity of Allergy Sufferers. Could a "cure" for allergies and sensitivities be this simple???? Only time will tell!
Wish me luck!
