Have you tried this: Bio Allers Allergy Relief Pollen Hayfever? It contains remedies for hayfever as well as minute amounts of the allergen.
No I haven't. Sounds interesting. If I live through this latest experiment, I might give it a try!
Thanks!
Experiment with oregano oil. It really helped my little guy. Do some searches on candida as cause of asthma and oregano oil for asthma. Good luck!
Another helpful tip! Thanks. Plus...... I would guess that Oregano Oil is a little tastier than Leather Recliner Crud under my tongue!
If the SLIT Protocol experiment fails to produce any good results, then I certainly will try the Oregano Oil. I have never experimented with the oil, and as it helped your child, it could help me, I hope, I hope!
And........... thanks for the Good Luck wishes! Tis the season to be charitable with Good Lucks!
Take care....... be well!

iolite, thanks for the info on Bioallers Allergy Relief! I will be sure to check it out!
I haven't been posting on Curezone for very long but am surprised at the number of helpful people who live here.
Hope your Christmas is enjoyable!
OTOH...... Just did another QTip under the tongue @ 12:30 PM. This is the 5th experimental SLIT treatment. Slight tightness in chest and constant lightheadedness. Oh well..... in the old days, when I would slug down a sixpack of beer, I would feel the same way, so what's the difference!? However...... since my bad reactions to allergen always happen at night, I am hoping that I don't go through a miserable, long night tonight dealing with Asthma and then feel bad all day tomorrow!
Take care..... be well!

SLIT #6 at 1:15pm. Still going strong. Still alive I think. According to the literature, SLIT, under the tongue Allergy Immunizations are 50% less effective than SCIT, the shots, but also SLIT is much safer than the shots---- So..... SLIT is allowed at home, without a doctor's supervision.
Now.... one might say that I don't know what I am doing. They would be right. But, OTOH, medical science hasn't figured out just how much allergen to use, and how frequently to do the SLIT protocol, etc., etc., etc., ONLY that it works and is used throughout Europe for Allergy Immunization. What could be more simpler than to stick some allergen under the tongue, at home, in the privacy of your own family, without having to fork over big bucks to a doctor who wished he had become an auto mechanic (his first dream of an occupation), instead of a doctor.
Wish me luck. I am dreading the night! We all know that allergies get worse at night. I hate the thought of being up all night long with labored breathing and a tight chest, and with heart palpitations and chest pains. Not the snuggling type of night I would rather have!

Well, well, well..... Absolutely no chest tightness, labored breathing, heart palpitations, higher blood pressure... nothing. No reaction overnight to the SLIT Leather Recliner Experiment!?
Does that mean that it was ineffective? Did it do anything?
Today will be a grass SLIT experiment.... about seven times grass extract under the tongue, and see if I get the same strong reactions that I did the first time I tried it. I am considering forgetting about the QTip and actually placing a small portion of grass under my tongue, complete with dew/auto exhaust/pollens and all.
What to do!?

I've just finished my third, of seven, Grass-SLIT Immunization experiment for today. Four more to go.
I am reacting much milder to the Grass-Slit treatment than I did before! The first time I tried it I had chest pains and some breathing problems. The only reactions today are some slight nausea and some slight woozyness. What does that mean? Of course I am grasping at straws, hoping that this at-home Grass-SLIT protocol cures my very sensitive allergy problem. Is it possible? Only time will tell. In the meantime, I find the milder reaction, to one of my major allergens, very incouraging!
I also find it very interesting that I did not have any breathing problems last night?! What does that mean? That was NOT the reaction that I expected. Does that mean that this stupid at-home, SLIT Immunization under my tongue could possibly be doing something good? After all, our medical industry has found this technique to actually improve the Allergic sensitivity of Allergy Sufferers. Could a "cure" for allergies and sensitivities be this simple???? Only time will tell!
Wish me luck!

Finished seven Grass-SLIT treatments yesterday with limited reactions. No breathing problems, or chest pains. Had some slight nausea and lightheadedness. There was no dew on the grass yesterday, and no dew on the grass today. Could I also be reacting the the cotton on the QTip? I don't know???
I started seven more Grass-SLIT immunization treatments this morning at 7:30am; and am experiencing the same mild reactions as yesterday, except for some mild chest pains. I've noticed some changes in how my body reacts to certain things, but cannot say for sure that it is do to the SLIT experiment, or coincidence. Time will tell!
Wish me luck!

Now I am getting excited!
I've just done my fifth experimental SLIT Grass treatment at 12:15pm est; and I am having some very hopeful results. It will take some time to fully evaluate the results of my SLIT experiment, but I know that SLIT is used throughout Europe with good results.
Here is why I am getting excited: I have a QTip in my mouth right now with grass extract on it. I am getting slightly nauseous, dizzy and with some slight loss of balance. But, it is a short term reaction. That is very good! It means that I am reacting to the grass allergen in a mild, good way. I also had no breathing problems last night, whatsoever! Now...... many nights I don't suffer with breathing problems, but it is unusual for me to go several nights without sob, expecially after coming into contact with certain allergens.
All in all, I am very hopeful that my SLIT treatments are going to bear fruit. How substantial the gain, I don't know.
Two more SLIT treatments to go for today.
Wish me luck!
Here is an update on my SLIT experimental treatments.
On the positive side, I am having much milder reactions to the Grass-SLIT experimental treatments. No chest pains. Slight nausea, dizziness and wooziness, where at first the chest pains, nausea, wooziness and dizziness were noticeably worse!
On the negative side, last night I had increased slight chest pains and increased heart palpitations! I also suffered from some slight sob and some slight wheezing. I haven't wheezed from my Asthma in YEARS!!!
But, it is all good. I want to know that the SLIT is doing something, and the feedback I am getting from my body is saying that things are happening within my body.
Mind you that, with Heart Failure, Atrial Fibrillation and Immune Dysfunction, my heart NEVER beats correctly, and chest pain and breathing problems are old friends of mine, whom I've had around for over 22 years. They are unwanted friends, but what the hell, they are here to stay anyway!
Just thought that this feedback would be of interest to other allergy/Asthma sufferers.
Think about it! At home SLIT to treat allergies in the privacy of my own home, without having to pay anything! I just walk outside, pluck a blade of grass, say thank you to my beautiful lawn; hop, skip and jump back into my home; and do a relatively safe SLIT experimental treatment. No forms. No interviews. No waiting for hours in waiting rooms. No uncaring, unfeeling, impatient doctors and nurses. And.... best of all, not having to pay out $100 a visit! Just me and my blade of grass and a QTip! It doesn't get any better than that!
ps: I have just finished my second out of seven SLIT experimental treatments this morning. I LOVE IT!!!!!!
The SLIT guidelines are exciting but very slow, difficult reading, deciphering and understanding.
If I am reading and understanding them correctly, the SLIT Guidelines state that, not only is SLIT effective for providing relief to allergy sufferers but it does much more than just initiate Immune System and NeuroHormonal System reactions, SLIT also causes desensitization and prevents new sensitizations!
That is what I had hoped for! I don't want SLIT to cause any more Immune System and NeuroHormonal System reactions to specific allergen, I want to be desensitized so that my body doesn't go nuts when I encounter dust, or cats, or dogs, or grass, or leather, or plastic, or rubber, or chemicals, etc., etc., etc.
I did seven treatments today and will do seven more tomorrow and so on and so on and so on. I will vary the allergens used and cross my fingers. I am getting extremely excited and encouraged about at-home SLIT protocol! It is damn easy to do, safe and also effective, in my humble, non-professional opinion. Give me six months and hopefully, I will say goodbye FOREVER to my allergies.
Charge!!!!!!!
Still reading and digesting the newly published SLIT guidelines.
There are some interesting findings, from reading the SLIT guidelines, as follows:
A small study seemed to show that the benefits were long lasting for Asthmatic patients!
Anyways...... I plan to continue doing SLIT experiments on a continuing basis. At this point I cannot say definitively that SLIT is helping to desensitize my Asthma. The reason why? I have not gotten up the courage, yet, to test my reactions to certain known allergens, which I am still avoiding like the plague. Sooner or later, I know that I will need to test contact with one of these allergens, but I am not ready yet.
On the other hand, I have not had any more serious or uncomfortable reactions to my SLIT experiments, and have only had mild reactions to placing allergen under my tongue. So...... that is encouraging to me.
For the next few months, I will continue my experiments and tests on a variety of allergens. If I experience anything definitive that shows that my SLIT experiments are improving or desensitizing my Asthma, I will certainly post about it.
Wish me luck!
