No, our booklet does not mention any of those things. I know the Mirena website has been updated within probably the last 6 months from what it used to say about side-effects, but how many people are going to go on-line to look when they are given a brochure and then told by their doc how great the Mirena is? I have read on this forum that the Canadian info is much more detailed about side-effects. From what I have read on this forum during the last 1 1/2 years since I had mine removed, a lot of docs deny these side-effects even tho the info in supposedly given to them by the manufacturer. Either they don't bother to educate themselves, or the reps are so convincing that they really believe it doesn't cause the issues that it does. At least one country out there is trying to inform women about this device....
