Oh, I almost forgot. Are you aware that the drug in Mirena is the same drug that was used in Norplant? Norplant was sued by 50,000 women and taken off the market in the U.S. voluntarily because they didn't want to do the studies they were going to be required to do. That's the problem. They had to wait until 50,000 women were affected before anything was done. And how does it get put back on the market with a different name and mode of entry? Look out for Jadelle too. The same thing as Norplant was, back on the market. Thankfully it's not available in the U.S. yet.
