Re: NEWS: 'Sweatbox' borrows from long tradition that's difficult to emulate

This story (as well as the websites of Ray:one "spiritual", the other promising great wealth) also brings to mind how something that is beneficial when practised with the right sort of humility and common sense, within its orginal context, can be twisted for financial gain, and to appeal to people's base desires... Money, and the promise of empowering yourself to make more and more, seems to have been a big lure, in this case. And this amount of people in a sweat lodge is just ludicrous: hence the word "sweatbox", which sadly, will have a way of turning people against the old ways; manipulating their minds to be closed to ancient traditions of health and healing) More of the old 'super size me' mentality...

As always, beware when anything these days weds the words "spiritual" and "warrier" (or the word's roots) and then attaches this to a concept of some place you can get to by car, or another physical vehicle -- like "financial-spiritual nirvana".

"You owe it to the rest of your life to get to Spiritual Warrior as quickly as you can. The investment is ONLY $9695 per person."

that "95" (less than 9700) is surely a tipoff that merchandizing has eclipsed the genuine.
