What follows is a quote from Moritz' book The Liver and Gallbladder Miracle Cleanse:
(himself one of the many who apparently cured themselves of serious liver illness through flushes):
"Cleansing of the liver and colon, and eating a balanced diet rich in fresh, alkaline-forming foods, are among the most effective ways to prevent and treat parasitic infestation; the killing of
parasites does not address its cause and may only have limited benefits, if any.)
As more and more toxic substances begin to accumulate or linger in the intestinal tract, the lymph and blood start absorbing some of these harmful substances. These leads to progressive congestion of the lymphatic system and thickening of the blood. All of this overtaxes the liver and excretory functions."
Hulda Clark 's much-vaunted remark that without a
parasite cleanse the stones won't come out is much debatable.
Moritz has outlined the basic differences of their two protocols thus:
"Dr. Clark's liver cleanse does not involve softening of stones before the flush, which makes it easier for the stones to pass. Harder stones are much more resistant than those softened with apple juice or malic acid, and special herbs, if need be. She also does not advocate cleansing of the colon before and after the the flush, which by itself can prevent successful cleansing and cause potentially harmful side-effects (inflammation, infection, toxic blood, skin problems, etc.). She says, though, that without
parasite cleansing prior to the liver flush, you won't get out stones. This, however, applies to mostly those who don't take the above measures."
