I felt the same about taking lecithin after years of avoiding soy products. Being hypo soya was a big no no, but lecithin is so beneficial, if you can take it, i would.

As i have lipid deposits under skin etc, and probably high cholesterol, i decided to take the lecithin. I'm only taking 1 tablespoon at the moment, but will build up to 3. I'm still not going to use the soya milk though.

They are now doing lecithin from sunflower seeds, if you are allergic to soy. It is not available everywhere yet though.
