soy-what about phytic acid?

right now i am pretty convinced soy is not a safe thing to regularly ingest, especially anything with soy protein isolate.

although i may eat a serving of tofu once a week, i take it as a sign of wisdom that those of the orient, the cultivators of the soy bean, rarely ate it in an unfermented form. fermented soy is a different story, like most fermented things.

straight soy, as i know, has the highest levels of phytates and also the highest levels of protein of almost any grain and legume. also the estrogen mimicking compounds which soy companies market as good for womens and mens health, they say, lowering chances of breast and prostate cancer. i often side with the information that is not being paid for by parties with a particular interest in the outcome. for this reason i favor independent studies, and as far as i know, these show soy to be dangerous and soy companies to be full-of-it.

this isnt to say anything about lecithin since i dont know much about whether it is a wonderchemical or harmful or inert.

can y'all respond to this? with succint evidence enough to settle the mind?

tanky
