Re: con artists
I've used Alpha-Omega
Iodine (7%) for about a year now. Though I do not use anywhere as much as some people I do take 10 drops / day. I started off with 1 drop then increased another drop each week. Aside from issues the first few weeks as my body adjusted, it's working great.
By mistake they did ship me a 1
oz bottle, but one email and they promptly sent the larger size and let me keep the smaller bottle for free. I've been very pleased with the results and the service.
Aside from Omega 3 this is the ONLY supplement I take. Mind you, I sprout everything (I use AZONITE in the soil), filter my own water (I remove chloramine, fluoride, heavy metals [NOT RO] and so on) and generally focus on quality of food. I'm heading to 50, but I can still walk 60 kms and am taken for someone in their mid to late 20s.
I read many books on iodine, read this forum, listened to many audio files and researched extensively before trying it out. Sometimes, you have to give something your best shot after learning all you can. Perhaps there are better places to purchase...there is always room to improve...but I have been most satisfied with their products.
As for risks...of course there are some. But IMHO, the dangers in everyday food and consumer goods, drinking water and medical services are far, far greater.
For example, my sister had to go in for an “out-patient” procedure for fibroids. Those here know iodine's link to this condition. The hospital listed the procedure as a 1% !!, risk of minor complications. They suggested to my sister to take the rest of the day off and optionally the following day. As it's a “women issue” no one informed me else I would have told her about iodine. Only local anesthesia was required.
Anyways during the “minor procedure” she started bleeding so they put her under general anesthesia. They couldn't control it so they decided to send her to a ICU in a another city better equipped (here in Canada). Due to winds they couldn't airlift her so they took her via ambulance. Her heart stopped and by the time she reached the ICU she had severe brain damage.
A team worked on her for many hours. However, a doctor came out in tears and said there really is no hope, she was completely brain dead. If by some chance she lived, there was “nothing” there. Two days later she passed away. We had her funeral on Easter Sunday (2009).
I have seen what they have done to my father, and now both of my sisters (all IMO linked to
Iodine or the lack, thereof, btw). IMO, learn all you can then do the best you can YOURSELF. I'm kind of running out of family members here thanks to our medical industry.
Another case in point. Just last week the doctors wanted to operate (surgery) on a friend due to goiter (great lakes area). What did she do? Eat lots of seafood rich in
Iodine and guess what? – she's fine.
I could go on with many more examples of medical incompetence here in Canada. I would urge everyone to research and learn as much as they can, try, then constantly improve. The medical (disease) industry is just that.
