Tree Tea Oil Toxicity
I've been using Tree Tea Oil a lot lately as I know that
Dr. Schulze uses it in his products. Usually I would put tree tea oil and cayenne pepper tincture on my scratches or areas where eczema attempts to start. Well, Wednesday, I suspected that an eczema spot may be attempting to start inside my right ear canal. So what did I do? I dipped a cotton swab in cayenne pepper then in tree tea oil. I put it in my right ear. I had the expected 10-minute ear ache from the cayenne pepper and that was that. I didn't feel the itchy spot anymore.
BUT two days later, Friday, OOOOOH! I nearly didn't make it home from work!!! The room started spinning and I threw up a number of times. I thought I must be experiencing a delayed reaction to the cayenne pepper but now I'm wondering if this is a reaction to the tree tea oil??? I just learning this past weekend about never taking tree tea oil internally but I never thought putting it in the ear as "internally." Apparently, tree tea oil is VERY toxic, more than taking rat poison. Now I hope I haven't permanently damaged my inner ear.
I've recovered this past weekend to the point where I can walk and stand but only like a drunk. I'm still woozy. This obviously has implications for my ability to work and drive. If this is only a delayed reaction to the cayenne pepper, then perhaps this will wear off soon. But if it is tree tea oil, then what if I suffered permanent damage to the inner ear? Maybe my worse fears won't be realized but this is enough to make me the tree tea oil away for good. I never realized how toxic that stuff is if you are not careful.
By the way, I don't seem to have an ear infection. I feel no pressure in the ear but I do have some garlic oil just in case. I actually can hear out of the ear as well as before.
In case I might need it or to just make sure, what can be done to repair inner ear damage?
