Re: Tough Break
""I never had a moment of digestive problems. What I ate, drank etc. was just right for me at the time. I have done ten years of fasting, and have a fair idea how to proceed with the break.""
Somer, I believe your concern was with energy levels at the point of breaking the fast.
It doesn't "pop back" as it does with the MC.
The types of food stuffs that you consume following a
Water Fast of that length need to be directed towards very gently starting up the systems of the body. Nothing else.
You aren't going to get the energy from the food, your going to gradually get it from the systems starting back up.
There's an importance in starting them up slowly and that is if you try to "push" them too quickly or give them more than they can handle at a given time then the return to normal is going to take much longer and you may not feel the benefits that you should.
The systems of the body shut down to a much greater degree on a
Water Fast than on the MC. So this is a different animal that is being broken here.
I believe a good portion of people have trouble with the breaking of a lengthy fast and it would only be due to not going slow enough.
It is the most difficulty that I have with each water fast, - going slow enough.
I know you don't like to be given advice regarding fasting, but I have put this here mainly for anybody that may benefit from it.
