Tough Break

Hello all!

I ended Day 17 virtually on the floor. I was so low by the morning of 18 I had to sit a couple of times to get some oranges juiced! Well, thought I, this shall surely perk me up.

Uh uh. I sipped OJ all day... nothing. I was still very very weak. Next day I had a small bowl of oatmeal with maple and cinnamon, then some fresh applesauce. Oh hey, this HAS to do the trick! In the pm I made vegetable soup and ate small amounts through the pm. STILL weak as heck!

In all my ten years fasting experience, including a number of 20, 30, 40 and even a 60 day go on lemonade/multi juices, I have never experienced this level of weakness. Never before has the OJ at the end of a fast failed to lift me virtually to nirvana!

Today is a bit better, although I do a small job like taking out the compost, and I really need to sit down afterwards. My energy is coming up, comtinuing the break, but very gradually. Otherwise I feel well... just having trouble with this pervading weakness.

After 17 days I feel I have had the Water Experience. It was something I have wanted to do, but I doubt I will ever do a straight Water Fast again. More likely I would layer it into a supported fast, 3-5 days max, and never again allow my energy level to drop the way it has this trip. I was fortunate to have the time to give the project, but really... must get back to living! The big difference for me is that juices allow me to continue living, including my gym routine, feeling euphoric with abundant energy every fasting day (barring crises).

Thanks all for your support and wisdom! My very best to everyone out there doing whatever it is you do to cleanse, detox and heal your bodies. You can do it!

Muchos saludos,
Somer
