If the neanderthals were more intelligent and heartier, why did they disappear?

They didn't, well, except for those destroyed in the floods.

Are you saying there was a creation prior to the account in Genesis?

Neanderthal's creation was shown in Genesis 1 and Adam's creation is shown in Genesis 2.

Why would a man want a neanderthal woman?

Why not? - or are you visualizing the Hollyweird version of a dimwitted woman getting hit on the head with a club?

Since God created everything, wouldn't that make Him the first "scientist", so-to-speak?
