Re: How we became a society of gluttonous junk food addcts

It doesn't save time anyway. Dinner last night I had pumpkin soup, homemade in a slow cooker, with homemade bread. I'm working 14 hours a day at the moment so I don't have time to prepare much in the way of meals.

Preparation time for pumpkin soup = 15 mins

Preparation time for rye bread = > 5 mins (breadmaker)

If I'm hungry I grab a hand full of nuts, dates, slice of cheese, or fruit, preparation time = 0 mins

If I went the junk food route, I would have to go purchase the food, and this would take longer than the entire preparation time for my entire meal.

And because I made a lot of soup, I have tonights dinner already made, so today I have no preparation time, and a healthy , tasty meal to look forward to tonight.
