Re: Major clue about the cause of my Hypothyroidism: FLUORIDE

It's for that reason, along with the glycerin in toothpastes, that I've been brushing exclusively with baking soda the past 6 months or so.

I'm surprised you were able to get a diagnosis. I've been hearing that the thyroid panels and all aren't very accurate and can come out normal when the person is actually experiencing problems.

As far as the fluoride in water goes, I don't think distillation or reverse-osmosis removes fluoride completely, or at all. What I've been doing (when I can) is buying purified/glacier water from the store or those machines that'll give you 5 gallons of water, and distilling it. The rest of the time I drink Aquafina, which isn't ideal, but it's better than the tap water I drank for most of my life. I get tired of tasting (drinking) plastic though.

There was a mountain spring I found a few months back that I would get jugs full of water to drink. I drank it straight. It was thick and tasted great. You could feel the "chi" in it. I question whether I was ingesting parasites and pathogens though, and then there is that water mineral debate issue. Perhaps distilling or ROing naturally occuring mountain spring water is the ideal?

Regarding the kelp and iodine, I too feel like it's something I'm lacking. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on kelp?
