how about second-hand smoke from my neighbors burning leaves in their back yards ? Or second hand diesel fumes ? Or the smoke from my lawn mower. Or maybe the second hand often-carbonaceous vapors from my wife's cooking ? Or de-gassing of various fabrics ? Or de-gassing of automobile interior parts ? Or the polymer smell at the Best Buy store ? Or what about when Mexico burns its fields and all that second hand mexican field smoke comes blowing upwards ? Does anyone truly believe a little plume from somebody's cigarette really makes a snails fart of a difference compared to all that other stuff out there ? Some say "oh yess, I know that second hand cigarette smoke is getting me" but chances are good there are 10 other things more harmful on a molar basis that they choose to ignore either conveniently, or out of ignorance. Eeek. I was using "white-out" to correct an error on a paper today. I hate those nasty second hand fluorocarbons. Oh, but it must be the second hand smoke from somebody's cigarette that's getting me. For that reason, when I smoke, I invert a test tube over the burning end, that way I only get the first hand smoke coming through the filter. I've accordingly eliminated inhaling the second hand stuff when I smoke. That little test tube trick will add years to my life, according to what some ninkompoops have written concerning second hand smoke. One has to be tricky to be able to take advantage of the info put out by the pharmacomedicomafioso, but it can be done.
