My dad always defended his beloved unfiltered commercial Pall Malls.
He now cannot tolerate cigarette smoke whatsoever. (Commercial cigarettes is what my brother smokes, and Dad lives with him).
Dad feels he is 'reaping what he has sown' when it comes to us kids and the breathing problems all of us had or have. Of course, what he may NOT know, is that our dead mother used to get SO mad at us for waving the smoke out of our face that she would deliberately blow it right into our face and say, "GET USED TO IT!"
There, now I've done it. I've said something personal AND negative about someone who died - and my own mother at that.
